Glenwood Springs Flying Club

An affordable option for Flying in the Colorado Rockies
The Glenwood Flying Club is a great option to consider if you're looking for an opportunity to learn to fly in the central Colorado Rockies.  I recently joined this club, and have been delighted with the aircraft, and the flexibility the club provides.

Essentially, the club currently has 20 members and 2 aircraft.  Both aircraft are Cherokee 235's.  The aircraft are well cared for, and given the small number of users they are readily available.  Buying into this club (a 1/20th share)  is less than $3000, and once you are a member you operate the aircraft for cost (roughly $130/hour fuel included).

As I've recently become a member, I am available to instruct in the club aircraft.  If you want any information on the club, please don't hesitate to call or e-mail me.

If your goal is to learn to fly, and you're in the Glenwood Springs area then there are a couple great affordable options.  The flying club is one, the second option is taking the short drive to Eagle to rent the Alpine Flight Training DA-20 Katana Eclipse.  If your goal is specifically to get your license, using the Katana Rental can save you about $1500 over the cost of joining the club and learning to fly through the club.
